Cooper had a pretty happy day! He hadn't pooped since yesterday morning at 4 am, so after 30 hours of struggling he received an enema and the results were pretty immediate. :) He felt much better after and was his happy, content self for the rest of the day. Our hope now is that he will be able to move things through without needing additional enemas.
He's continuing to receive 1 ml of milk continuously each hour, and seems to be tolerating it well. Cooper is still breathing on his own is getting stronger each day! Tonight his weight was 2840 grams, up 10 from yesterday. He is now 6 lbs 4 oz.
After nearly 12 weeks of being in the NICU it still breaks my heart each night to walk out of the hospital without Cooper... I always feel like part of me is missing when I'm not with him. I'm so grateful to experience the fierce love a mother has for her child, and eagerly await the day we can walk out of the hospital together. Thank you all for continuing to pray for and support our little family. We are so thankful!
