The past few days have been pretty low key, and today was no exception. When we arrived at the hospital this morning Cooper was wide awake, so we tried breastfeeding and he ate for 18 minutes! He is doing so well. After his surgery the trick will be to make sure he has enough stamina to eat that much every three hours.
Cooper slept for most of the day and we enjoyed holding him. He gained weight today, and is now 2320 grams! Officially 5 pounds!!! (technically 5 lbs and 1.8 oz) I never believed when he was only 2 pounds that he would ever grow to be this big. We are soooo thankful! Before his surgery on Wednesday he has to have an enema, and that will be done tomorrow morning. We would appreciate prayers this week that all goes well with his surgery and that he heals quickly so that he can come home. :)
