The day has finally come... Cooper weighs 3 pounds!!! We're so happy he has reached this big milestone and are grateful that he is continuing to grow (slowly, but surely). Cooper had a good day today. He is still on 2.5 liters of high flow oxygen, and they increased the amount of milk he receives every three hours.
Unfortunately for the last day or so I have been dealing with some pain related to pumping, and I wasn't feeling well. We were only at the NICU for six hours so that I could rest this evening and hopefully heal quickly! It is always so hard to leave Cooper when we go home, but luckily tonight one of his amazing primary nurses is with him. Trusting that he is in good hands makes the separation each evening a little easier.
Thank you for following Cooper's journey! The prayers on his behalf are powerful, and we know that God hears them. Each day my heart is so full of gratitude for the tremendous support we are receiving, and we will never be able to adequately express our thanks to so many people.
This quote spoke to my heart today: "No matter our circumstances, no matter our challenges or trials, there is something in each day to embrace and cherish. There is something in each day that can bring gratitude and joy if only we will see and appreciate it." - Dieter F. Uchtdorf
I forgot to take a picture of Coop tonight, but here is one from a few days ago.
