Cooper is 4 weeks old today! (30 weeks gestation) When we walked into his room this morning we were excited to see that he had been extubated, and is now on CPAP again. He did really well all day on CPAP, and hasn't had any Brady episodes since last week. After Cooper's adrenal glands/potassium issues last week they placed an arterial line in his right hand, which is used to draw blood from instead of having to poke him each time they needed blood. After having stable potassium levels for more than 24 hours, the art line was removed today! Cooper's resident said that he feels like Cooper is back to where he was before the adrenal gland issues last week, and they will continue to work towards getting him back to where he was respiratory wise.
Cooper lost a little weight today, but we're trying to focus on weekly trends and not worry too much about his day to day gains/losses. He is still moving in the right direction! We just can't wait until we can bring our boy home with us.
