Thursday, August 27th Update

Cooper had a good day! He's continuing to do well breathing on his own (I still can't believe it) and there weren't many changes today. They increased his continuous feeds to 10 ml every hour, and he seems to be tolerating it fairly well. His stool output is still a little high, but within the acceptable range. Tonight his weight increased to 1740 grams, or 3 lbs 13 oz. :)  So close to 4 lbs!

Tonight we gave Cooper a sponge bath, and his nurse remarked on how calm and mellow Cooper is. He didn't cry once during his bath, and he rarely cries in general. He is alert and wide eyed when he's not sleeping, but is very content. We love our sweet boy!

Thank you for praying for Cooper... The Lord is blessing him in so many ways, and we're so thankful that Cooper is getting stronger and bigger each day.
